Ratisbonne Planned Giving Society
In 2003, Sion created the Ratisbonne Society to recognize those donors who make long-range plans to provide future financial resources for Notre Dame de Sion School. In a very real sense, Ratisbonne Society members can be considered a group of investors – people who have, through their estate plans, invested in Sion’s future as an independent Catholic school. To date over 30 members have notified Sion of their plans and are members of the Ratisbonne Society.
There are a number of planned giving options to include Notre Dame de Sion School in your estate plans that also enhance your personal well being, while providing for Sion’s future. Some of these include:
- Bequest in your will
- Charitable gift annuity
- Charitable remainder trust
- Beneficiary designations of your retirement assets
- Beneficiary designation of an insurance policy.
But the most important aspect of a planned gift to Sion is the knowledge that you are making a commitment to the Mission of the Sisters of Sion and Notre Dame de Sion School.
You may have included Notre Dame de Sion School in your estate plans without notifying us. Surprises are always nice, but by being informed of your decision, we are better able to plan for the future. Plus, we appreciate the opportunity to express our gratitude and welcome you as a new member to the Ratisbonne Society. Naturally, those choosing to remain anonymous will have their wishes respected.
Many donors ask us the proper way to designate Sion in their estate plans. To ensure your gift is received by Notre Dame de Sion School, please use the legal name, Notre Dame de Sion School of Kansas City (Federal ID# 43-1550474). You may also use our Estate Planning Resource Guide.
For more information on which option is best for you, please consult your financial planner or Stephanie Volk, Director of Development.
